Analysis of Ultra-Low Sulfur Content in Automotive Fuels According to ISO 13032 and ASTM D 7220-12

The determination of ultra-low sulfur content in automotive fuels by means of ED-XRF is a modern industry standard test method. The technique is described in the test methods ISO 13032 and ASTM D7220. ISO 13032 is for example one of the test methods listed in the fuel specifications EN 590 for diesel and EN 228 for gasoline fuels.

Reaching a detection limit of ≤ 0.3 mg/kg for the analysis of the sulfur content, the SPECTROCUBE holds one of the leading positions among commercially available ED-XRF instruments. This application report describes the analytical performance.
