The SPECTRO ARCOS MultiView with dual side-on plasma observation was investigated for the analysis of brines used for the chlorine alkali electrolysis. The trace elements were directly determined in 200 g/L NaCl solutions.
The required sensitivity for Ca, Mg, Sr, Ba, Al, Fe, Cu, Hg, and P needed to fulfill the high-purity specifications can be achieved with one single method. Thus, the control of this industrial process becomes faster and more cost efficient.
