The report describes the analytical performance of the SPECTROGREEN TI. The Twin Interface option offers automatic observation of the plasma in axial and radial mode. This enables the analysis of trace elements with high sensitivity using the axial but, e.g. also the accurate determination of alkali and earth alkali elements without the need for ionization buffering by using the instrument’s radial mode. The expansion of the linear dynamic range is an additional benefit. While this makes the SPECTROGREEN ICP-OES predestined for environmental work, the instrument’s versatility and exceptional performance in both viewing modes opens up additional fields of application. For this note, the limits of detection in aqueous solutions using the radial and the axial mode were determined.
